CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS
Every league must have both a constitution and bylaws.
The constitution covers how your league is governed — how do you elect officers, who makes up the membership, how do you deal with finances, how do you handle elections and who can vote, etc. The constitution can only be amended/approved by a vote from the membership.
Your bylaws cover how the league operates — how are teams drafted, how are all-star teams chosen, what are your local rules, etc. Bylaws are updated and approved every year.
You can read more about constitutions and bylaws on Little League’s Essentials for Constitution and Bylaws.
If you want to see a real set of bylaws, Kirkland American has shared their 2025 bylaws as a sample here: Kirkland American 2025 Bylaws.
